Police seek suspect in attempted abduction

WESTMINSTER WEST -- At approximately 7:20 on the morning of Jan. 4, the Vermont State Police received a report of a suspicious male subject who attempted to grab by the hand a juvenile who was waiting for a school bus.

The suspect was described as a tall slender male with short, possibly light brown hair and a dark moustache.

According to a press release, the man pulled up to the juvenile in a red pick-up truck, asked where the juvenile’s mother was and attempted to grab the juvenile by the hand.

The pick-up was described as having an extra-cab, black molding around the wheels of the fender and a smaller type light bar on the roof.
