Prof with Brattleboro's World Learning to join think tank

BRATTLEBORO (AP) - A senior vice president at Vermont's World Learning has been nominated to join this year's Chief Academic Officers Think Tank at the New England Resource Center for Higher Education, a center of research and policy on higher education.

John Lucas is provost and senior vice president for academic programs at World Learning's School for International Training, located in Brattleboro.

World Learning President Donald Steinberg says the center is doing cutting edge work to tackle the challenges facing the U.S. system of higher education and Lucas's time there will deepen the World Learning's association with the center.

Lucas will be joining other chief academic officers for the center's discussions for higher education practitioners.

The School for International Training is an accredited institution of higher learning that addresses global issues.
