Purple Dawgs cap off perfect season

WESTMINSTER — The Purple Dawgs, a Bellows Falls football team made up of students in grades 7 and 8, finished the season with an 8-0 record. It was the program's first undefeated season ever.

The team was coached by Harry Gleim, Jason Terry, Kevin Vancor and Todd Swisher. The players were Harrison Gleim, Jeb Monier, Jon Terry, Patrick Barbour, Carl Long, Mason Scott, Jackson Goodell, Max Hooke, Raymond Plummer, Caden Haskell, Dillan Perry, Trenton Rumrill, Nick Streeter, Wyatt Lescord, Chase Swisher, Max Doyle, Jake Moore and Noah White.

Their wins came against Hanover, Woodstock, Fall Mountain, Springfield, Mascoma, Windsor, Lebanon and Newport. The defense only allowed 32 total points for the entire season.

The Purple Dawgs scored 266 points this fall. Harrison Gleim led the way with 18 touchdowns and Jeb Monier followed with 16 scores.
