Putney Co-Op, Hazel prevail at Rec

BRATTLEBORO — Matt Leblanc went off for 29 points, including seven makes from downtown, to lead Putney Co-Op to an 83-76 victory over Cota & Cota in a men's basketball league game on Wednesday evening at the Gibson-Aiken Center.

Matt Johnson (12 points), Andrew Cavanaugh (12) and Soren Pelz-Walsh (10) also reached double figures for the winners. Barry Chamberlain and Winston Sailsman finished with 31 and 22 points respectively to pace Cota & Cota.

In the other contest, Erik Pardee netted 17 points to help Hazel past Dixon's Painters, 75-65. Ryan Roberts poured in a game-high 28 points for the Painters.
