Ready ... Set ... Stroll
The next village stroll is set for Saturday, from 5 to 7 p.m. in downtown Wilmington. A big highlight of this stroll is a Pinewood Derby on an official Cub Scout track. The cars racing have been designed and sponsored by local businesses. Derby will take place between The Village Roost and The Incurable Romantic buildings on West Main Street. Come on out and cheer for your favorite car. The Stroll is on rain or shine, with activities tucking into buildings or under cover. In case of heavy rain, the pinewood derby will be postponed until Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m.
What else is going on? Glitter tattoos at Beyond Imagination, a cooking demo on the deck at The Village Roost, a concert by Parisian musicians La Mechante et la Connard at Bartleby's Books, a photo opportunity on Chapman's In-Town Antiques lawn, face painting and hula hooping plus a book sale.
