BELLOWS FALLS -- Ashley Goddard scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Leland & Gray girls basketball team to a 33-24 victory over host Bellows Falls in the Holiday Tournament final.

"It’s the second year of that tournament and we’ve won it both years," said Rebels coach Gregg Morrow, whose team improved to 5-1 overall. "They do a good job running it over there. And we get to see a couple of teams -- Sharon, Stevens -- that we don’t see the rest of the year."

Alex Morrow assisted Goddard by scoring nine points, hauling in 10 boards, dishing out five dimes and rejecting three shots. Emily Dufault paced the Terriers with 10 points.

Goddard had 20 points and 11 caroms in Leland & Gray’s 57-31 decision over Sharon in the first round. Chelby Nystrom and Morrow each netted nine points in that win, while Haley Buffum contributed with nine assists.
