Reformer Fantasy Football contest begins Thursday
BRATTLEBORO >> For the first time ever, the Reformer will be running a weekly Fantasy Football League. To enter, you must email your Week 1 roster consisting of any two quarterbacks, any two running backs, any two receivers and any two tight ends by Tuesday, Sept. 6 at noon to email@example.com.
One point will be awarded for each TD pass, TD run, TD reception and TD return, with the tiebreaker being the number of wins by the NFL teams that your players are on.
Week 1 schedule: Panthers at Broncos, Bucs at Falcons, Vikings at Titans, Browns at Eagles, Bengals at Jets, Raiders at Saints, Chargers at Chiefs, Bills at Ravens, Bears at Texans, Packers at Jaguars, Dolphins at Seahawks, Giants at Cowboys, Lions at Colts, Patriots at Cardinals, Steelers at Redskins, Rams at 49ers.
BRATTLEBORO >> Season passes for all Brattleboro Union High School home varsity games (football, boys and girls soccer, girl field hockey, boys and girls hockey, and boys and girls basketball) can now be purchased for the 2016-17 school year.
These passes will be personalized and non-transferable, and are good for all home regular season games (VPA Tournament games not included). These passes will not be replaced if lost or stolen. Checks should be made payable to BUHS and can be purchased at the ticket booth at the first home games.
The fall and winter student pass costs $25 and is good for all home games for fall and winter teams. The fall and winter adult pass is $50 and is also good for all home games for fall and winter teams.
BRATTLEBORO >> Brattleboro Union High School is in need of a varsity basketball coach and a bowling coach. The deadline for application is Sept. 9.
Candidates should have a strong coaching background with the ability to teach and motivate student athletes effectively. Previous head coaching experience at the high school level is preferred, but not required. The season begins Nov. 28, 2016 and ends in early March.
