Reformer NFL Derby is open to everyone


BRATTLEBORO -- The Reformer NFL Picking Derby, which was won by Bethany Coursen in 2012 and Ricky Aither in 2013, will be open to everyone and will have a weekly winner this season.

In Week 1, the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks will start things off by hosting the Green Bay Packers on Thursday, Sept. 4, at 8:30 p.m. And Peyton Manning will face his former team, when the Colts visit the Broncos on Sunday, Sept. 7, at 8:30 p.m.

Contestants are asked to pick the winner of those two games, along with the 14 others. And a total score must be submitted for Monday night’s Chargers-Cardinals contest for tiebreaker purposes.

To be eligible, email your Week 1 winners and tiebreaker score, along with your name and the town you reside in, to Reformer Sports Editor Shane Covey at by Tuesday, Sept. 2, at noon. You must predict a winner in all 16 games in order to qualify.

Browns at Steelers 1 p.m.

Bengals at Ravens 1 p.m.

Bills at Bears 1 p.m.

Redskins at Texans 1 p.m.

Titans at Chiefs 1 p.m.

Patriots at Dolphins 1 p.m.

Panthers at Bucs 4:25 p.m.

49ers at Cowboys 4:25 p.m.

Colts at Broncos 8:30 p.m.

Monday, Sept. 8

Giants at Lions 7:10 p.m.

Chargers at Cardinals 10:20 p.m.
