'Renaissance Man' David Stern on display at MSA's Gallery

Posted

Beginning on Jan. 11, the artwork of Main Street Arts' "Renaissance Man," David Stern will be on display in MSA's Gallery in a show called "All Over the Map." An artist's reception will be held on Jan. 14, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. All are welcome to attend.

With multiple degrees in theater, Stern is best known as a producer and director of innovative theatrical productions with over 100 shows under his belt. Designs such as his immersive, "living walls" stage design were a sensational part of Main Street Arts production of Les Miserables last March. As he noted, sets involve sculpture, painting, and fabrication.

He takes the attitude of the Renaissance masters that the artist should be able to design a mural, execute an award-winning stage set, create exquisite jewelry or paint a compelling watercolor. The show runs until Feb. 22 at 35 Main St., Saxtons River. Information at 802-869-2960, or mainstreetarts.org.
