Rev. Dr. Marcia Dorey to lead vesper service at Halifax Union Society

HALIFAX CENTER -- The Rev. Dr. Marcia Dorey will lead this Sunday evening’s vesper service at the non-denominational Halifax Union Society. The service will begin at 6 p.m. All are welcome. There will be meditation, reflection, and hymn-singing. Refreshments will be served.

The Society is uphill from the Town Office and school in West Halifax. It is located in the oldest part of town, near the intersection of Jacksonville Stage and Stowe Mountain Roads.

Services have been held here since 1891.

In the appointed scripture for this coming Sunday, June 29, we are asked to trust God’s mercy, to be slaves of sin no longer, and to be of good comfort to others.
