Rev. Hamm’s meditation Sunday is ‘Irrepressible Exuberance’

NEWFANE -- The sacrament of Holy Communion will be observed at the First Congregational Church of Newfane on Sunday, April 7, at 10 a.m. The title of the Rev. Rob Hamm’s meditation is "Irrepressible Exuberance" with scripture from the book of Acts, chapter 5 and verses 27-32.

Congregational hymns are "Christ is Alive," "Thine Is The Glory" and "The Strife is O’er." The choir will sing the anthem, "One Bread, One Body" by J. Foley/G. Smith. Martha LaMoria, organist/music director, will play the prelude "Song of Faith" by Jean Baptiste Faure and the postlude "Paean of Victory" by Edward H. Wetherill.

Events for the upcoming week include the Early Education Services’ playgroup from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and Al-Anon at 7:30 p.m. on Monday; Sew What’s at 5 p.m. on Tuesday; Monthly Senior Luncheon at noon, Bell Rehearsal at 5 p.m. and Choir Rehearsal at 6:30 p.m. Thursday; Helping Hands from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday.
