BRATTLEBORO -- The Rev. Carra McFadden will lead the 10 a.m. worship service on Sunday, Aug. 10, at Centre Congregational Church in downtown Brattleboro. Her sermon topic is "Saved by Doubt," based on the text from Matthew 14:22-33.

The weekly adult book study precedes worship at 9 a.m. in the library. The group is reading "Einstein’s God" by Krista Tippett. Lemonade on the lawn will follow worship and all are welcome.

The Partners for Sacred Places consultants will return to Centre Church for a site visit on Friday, Aug. 15. Peter Abell will lead them on a tour of the church and its property. Part of the study is to identify how the physical location of the church relates to commercial or economic development projects and other assets.

Starting Sept. 7, the Centre for Children will have a newly-designed nursery space for babies and toddlers. Volunteers to help paint or make curtains this coming week may contact Roger Miller at 802-254-4638.
