Rev. Meachen’s sermon Sunday at Methodist Church is ‘Deviled Ham’
BRATTLEBORO -- Worship on Sunday, June 23, at 10 a.m. at First United Methodist Church will include the reading of the story about the man with multiple personality disorders whom Jesus healed. He did this by sending his "demons" into a herd of swine which rushed down a bank into the lake and drowned. The scripture can be found in Luke 8:26-39 and will be read by Betty Stacy.
The Rev. Cheryl Meachen’s sermon, "Deviled Ham," will explore our precious identity, seemingly absent in the man who could only call himself "Legion," but who God intimately knew, as God knows and cherishes each of us.
The church is located next to Renew Salvage at 18 Town Crier Drive off Putney Road, across from the Shell station and is handicap-accessible. Come as you are. All are welcome.
