Rev. Meachen’s sermon Sunday is ’O Love That Will Not Let Me Go!’


BRATTLEBORO -- Worship at First United Methodist Church on Sunday, Aug. 3, at 10 a.m. includes scripture from Genesis 32:22-31 where Jacob wrestles with his sense of God, read by Jane Clarke. The Rev. Cheryl Meachen’s sermon, entitled "O Love That Will Not Let Me Go!" will explore our struggles with our own identity and destiny in light of our faith.

Holy communion will be celebrated. All are welcome at the Lord’s Table.

The Annual Blueberry Festival will be held at the church on Saturday, Aug. 9, from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. Events will include a blueberry breakfast, blueberry baked goods, crafts, music and a barbecue lunch.
