Rev. Robert Hamm’s sermon in Newfane is ‘Subversive Activities’

NEWFANE -- The First Congregational Church of Newfane will observe the third Sunday of Lent at the worship service at 10 a.m. on Sunday, March 23. The Rev. Robert Hamm will speak on "Subversive Activities" with scripture reading from the Gospel of John 4:5-42. Congregational hymns are "Praise the One Who Breaks the Darkness," "Come to Me, the Master Said" and "God of Grace and God of Glory."

The church choir will sing "Jesus Walked This Lonesome Valley." The Newfane Community Hand Bells will play the prelude "Ah, Holy Jesus" arranged by John Carter and the postlude "Celebration" by James Denton will be played by Martha LaMoria, organist/music director.

Events for the upcoming week include Al-Anon at 7:30 p.m. on Monday; Sew What’s at 5 p.m. on Tuesday; Men’s Group at 10 a.m. and Hand Bell rehearsal at 5 p.m. on Thursday.
