WILMINGTON -- Valley of Brattleboro Scottish Rite Freemasons will host a public dinner on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at 6 p.m. with Richard Hamilton as guest speaker at the Wilmington Masonic Lodge on Main Street in Wilmington.
Hamilton is longtime resident of Marlboro and former owner of the Skyline Restaurant on Route 9 at Hogback Mountain.
He will be talking about his early life as a Vermont farmer, logger, wood cutter and citizen. He will also speak about his participation in the Allied war effort in the Army Air Corps during World War II, and of his time spent as a Prisoner of War.
Dinner will be served by Lonny Page and the Junior Iron Chefs. Under Page’s guidance, these active junior chefs have won numerous Vermont and area recognition and awards.
The dinner costs $20 with half of the profit going to the Junior Iron Chefs for their fundraising efforts, and the other half to the Scottish Rite’s charities.
