River Gallery School of Art receives grant

River Gallery School of Art recently received an $850 grant from the Crosby-Gannett Fund at the Vermont Community Foundation. The grant will serve to establish and support new programming for women in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction and to support the mission and vision of River Gallery School of Art to provide a studio space in which students of all ages explore their creativity through the practice of making art and based on the belief that each person has artistic and creative capacities which, when nurtured, will find unique and valuable expression. Through mentoring, the school provides the techniques to develop skills, inviting the possibility of art to become a vital force in one's life.

The Crosby-Gannett Fund at the Vermont Community Foundation supports endeavors that contribute to the betterment and vitality of the Brattleboro area. For information call the school at 802-257-1577 or visit rivergalleryschool.org
