River Valley Tech Center accepting applications from area students


SPRINGFIELD -- The River Valley Technical Center is now accepting applications for the 2014-15 school year. RVTC offers programs in carpentry, industrial trades, mechanical design innovation, business and financial services, culinary arts, human services, criminal justice, horticulture and natural resources, tech essentials, hands on computers, audio and video production, and health careers. There are also opportunities for 9th and 10th grade students to explore all program areas by enrolling in the Pre-Technical Studies program. Half-day programs offer a hands-on, career oriented approach for high school students. The Cooperative Education program offers job shadows, internships and cooperative work opportunities for all students. Many programs offer students the opportunity to earn college credit.

RVTC serves Bellows Falls Union High School, Black River High School, Fall Mountain Regional High School, Green Mountain Union High School Springfield High School, as well as home school and private school students.
