Rountree honored with national awards

SWANZEY, N.H. -- Rountree Ford Lincoln was recently honored with two national awards at the annual Ford Select Dealer Meeting.

The Swanzey-based dealership was named best Select Dealer in the nation for sales volume of Ford Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles as well as number one in retail tires sales.

Bob Rountree the President of Rountree Ford and Lincoln was surprised to receive both awards, but very excited.

"This is an incredible accolade that we are very happy to accept," said Rountree. "This achievement is recognition of the hard work that our team puts in day in and day out to continue the success of our business."

Rountree won these awards over 1,800 other dealers.

Rountree said that his dealership’s large amount of tire sales is due to Fords service brand Quick Lane. The service has been awarded to 600 of 3,300 Ford dealers nationally. Customers can bring their vehicles in without an appointment and have them worked on by factory-trained experts. Quick Lane offers name brand tires as well as Low Price Tire Guarantee.

"It is designed to make the dealers highly competitive in vehicle maintenance needs for drivers of Ford vehicles and all brands. Ford provides price protection on tires allowing a Quick Lane dealer to at least match any tire price given by any competitor; to provide market competitive pricing on oil changes, alignments, brakes, and safety inspections for all makes and models," Rountree said.

The Number One dealer award in sales of certified pre-owned vehicles is one of the top honors that a dealer can receive. The Certified Pre-Owned Program has become central to the overall sales strategy of the Ford Motor Company. Each certified pre-owned vehicle goes through a 172-point inspection inspection and comes with warranty coverage. Rountree says that the question on a lot of customer’s minds with a pre-owned vehicle is, "Are you buying someone else’s trouble?" But with Ford’s certification program customers can save money, receive lower rates than other pre-owned vehicles, and be confident in the safety of the vehicle.

Rountree also contributes some of the dealership’s success to keeping anywhere from between 30-50 of these certified pre-owned vehicles on the lot at all times. Purchasing pre-owned vehicles has become increasingly popular in recent years and that is something Rountree does not think will change.

"Pre-owned vehicles are a critical component of our local economy," he said. "The Ford Lincoln Certified Pre-Owned Program allows us to sell the finest pre-owned Fords with up to 100,000 mile warranties provided by Ford."
