BRATTLEBORO -- Come celebrate the season by singing songs of summer with friends and neighbors at "Brattleboro Sings!" on Tuesday, July 2, at 7 p.m., at the Brattleboro Common.

Brattleboro songleader Becky Graber, musical mastermind Alki Steriopoulos and sound wizard Julian McBrowne will host an evening sing for singers of all sorts. Whether you’re a star on Broadway, a chorus or choir regular, or someone who sings in the shower or along with the radio, you are invited to come join in the singing. The evening will feature songs that are (or should be) familiar to young and old: from "In the Good Old Summertime" to Gershwin’s "Summertime" to the Lovin’ Spoonful’s "Summer in the City," with a mix of Broadway and patriotic songs sprinkled in. The sing is free, with songsheets provided. The event is sponsored by the Brattleboro Recreation Department.

In the event of rain, the concert will be moved to the American Legion, Post 5 on Linden Street.

"Brattleboro Sings" is a sing-along project run in collaboration with the Arts Council of Windham County. Contact Becky for more information on future "Brattleboro Sings" events at 802-254-8994 or becky@beckygraber.com.
