’Circle Mirror Transformation’ in final week at ATP

WEST CHESTERFIELD, N.H. -- Annie Baker’s "Circle Mirror Transformation" is in its final week at Actors Theatre Playhouse, with performances Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 on Thursday and $15 on Friday and Saturday. Reservations are recommended. The Playhouse toll-free box office can be reached at 877-666-1855. For information, visit www.ATPlayhouse.org.

Baker’s "Circle Mirror Transformation" won the Best New American Play Award of 2009 because she captured life in a small, artsy Vermont town in such a touching and compassionate way. Through a series of improvisational acting exercises in a six-week community acting class, five relative strangers learn about trust, compassion, responsibility and personal growth.

The Actors Theatre Playhouse production is directed by Josh Moyse. The cast features Peter Eisenstadter, Richard A. Epstein, Maia Gilmour, Pat Langille and Jennifer Moyse.

The Actors Theatre Playhouse’s 38th season continues with British playwright Sir David Hare’s "Breath of Life" in Saturday Staged Readings on Sept. 7 and 14 at 7:30 p.m. Terri Storti and Shoshana Rihn star as two women with a common need to confront their "shared" past together. What they shared was one man. Burt Tepfer directs. All tickets to Saturday Staged Readings are $6. Reservations are not required.
