’Faith: The Size of a Mustard Seed’ is Rev. Phillip Wilson’s sermon on Sunday

BRATTLEBORO -- The Rev. Carra McFadden, pastor of Centre Congregational Church in downtown Brattleboro, left for Kenya this week to lead a mission group of 10 to the Kakamega Orphans Care Center in Kakamega, Kenya. Summer camp activities there will involve 120 children and teens. Pastor McFadden will return to the pulpit on Sunday, Sept. 1.

Guest preacher at the 10 a.m. worship this Sunday, Aug. 4, is the Rev. Phillip Wilson of Putney, whose sermon is "Faith: The Size of a Mustard Seed," and guest musician will be Alison Hale. The Sacrament of Holy Communion will be celebrated and all are welcome.

Lemonade on the lawn will follow. Special offerings for August will benefit the AIDS Project of Southern Vermont and Post Oil Solutions. The local outreach budget will support Andover Newton Theological School and the Brattleboro Pastoral Counseling Center.

A Dance Fundraiser for a future El Salvador Mission trip will be held Saturday, Aug. 10, in the church’s Memorial Hall.
