’Good Shepherd Sunday’ is observed this week at Trinity Lutheran Church

BRATTLEBORO -- This Sunday, May 11, the fourth Sunday in the Easter season, is sometimes called "Good Shepherd Sunday." Jesus is called the "gate" of the sheep in today’s gospel from the 10th chapter of John. The risen Christ opens the way to abundant life. He anoints our heads with oil and guides us beside the still waters of our baptism. Each Sunday he spreads a feast before us in the midst of the world’s violence and war. We go forth to be signs of the resurrection and extend God’s tender care to all creation.

Sunday School for all ages and an Adult Forum on the Bible gather at 9 a.m.

Worship is at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church. The liturgy for the Easter season is "Now the Feast" by Marty Haugen. The church is located at 161 Western Ave., Brattleboro, across from Holton Home. Trinity is an Open and Affirming congregation.
