’He Took A Child’ sermon in Newfane

NEWFANE - The First Congregational Church of Newfane will meet for worship at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 23. The title of Rev. Rob Hamm’s sermon is ""He Took A Child" with scripture from the book of Mark, chapter 9, verses 30-37. Hymns to be sung by the congregation are "All People That on Earth Do Dwell", "O Master, Let Me Walk with Thee", and "Sing a New Church". The choir will sing the anthem"God of Great and God of Small" by Natalie Sleeth. The prelude, "Prelude in E Flat" by Ernest Sheppard, and postlude, March from ‘Athalie’" by Felix Mendelssohn, will be played by organist Martha Lamoria. The Sunday School lesson will be "Noah, we can trust in God and be faithful".

Events for the upcoming week include Al-Anon at 7:30 pm on Monday; Sew What’s at 5 p.m. on Tuesday; Heritage Festival Apple Pie Making at 9:30 a.m. and Handbell Rehearsal at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday; Choir Rehearsal at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
