WEST BRATTLEBORO -- All Souls Church Unitarian Universalist invites all to worship Sunday Feb. 10, at 10 a.m.

"Poetic Immortality" is the topic at All Souls Church. The age old wonder at the inevitability of death is a prominent theme in the world’s first narrative saga, "The Epic of Gilgamesh." All Souls Church member Christina Gibbons will describe the heroic king’s search for immortality. Along the way, he hears the story of a catastrophic flood very like the Biblical version. This 4000-year-old poem contains much wisdom for us to ponder today.

The All Souls Adult Choir, under the direction of Ede Thomas, will sing "Goin’ Home," American Folk, arranged by Thomas Rossin, with Harald Holm, soloist.

Nursery care will be provided. Join us this Sunday! Contact Llora Kressmann, Acting Director of Religious Education, at dre@ascvt.org or 802-245-9377. All Souls Church is a Welcoming Congregation and a Green Sanctuary located at 29 South Street across the road from the West Brattleboro fire station and village green.

For more information or directions, please call the church office at 802-254-9377, e-mail office@ascvt.org or go online to www.ascvt.org.
