’Reconciliation Revelations’ will be sermon at Newfane Church


NEWFANE -- The First Congregational Church of Newfane will meet for worship at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 17. The Rev. Robert Hamm’s sermon is titled "Reconciliation Revelations" with scripture from Genesis 45, Verses 1-15. Congregational hymns are "Sweet, Sweet Spirit," "Great is Thy Faithfulness" and "Christ for the World We Sing."

Music will be provided by organist Alice Gausch who will play the prelude "Serenity" by Rasley and the postlude "Marvelous Is Thy Name" by R.J. Hughes. Special music will be provided by Bill Berner and David Roberts, singing "How Great Thou Art."

The August Missions are the Ministers Relief Fund and the Newfane Children’s Christmas. Events for the upcoming week include Al-Anon at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Linus Quilters at 1 p.m. on Tuesday and Ladies Aid Meeting at 10 a.m. on Thursday.
