Rutland repels BUHS girls

BRATTLEBORO — Both varsity girls soccer teams took a dozen shots on goal during Rutland's 2-1 victory over Brattleboro.

"It could have been a much higher scoring game with a possible win for Brattleboro if things had gone just a bit differently," noted BUHS coach Edwin de Bruijn.

Axis Balsley-Petraska scored for the Colonels. Megyn Ayotte finished with eight saves.

Brattleboro (3-9) will host rival MAU (6-5) for Senior Night on Tuesday at Tenney Field at 6 p.m.
