Saxtons River man arraigned in wife's death in N.H.

CLAREMONT, N.H. (AP) - A 43-year-old Vermont man charged with killing his estranged wife has made his first appearance in a New Hampshire court.

James Robarge of Saxtons River was arraigned Monday in Claremont District Court in Claremont. He was ordered held without bail. A probable cause hearing was scheduled for Sept. 5 at 1 p.m.

Robarge is charged with second-degree murder in the death of Kelly Robarge, who disappeared from her Charleston, N.H., home on June 27, the day she had filed for divorce. Her body was found July 6 in a wooded area in Unity, N.H.

Robarge was transferred Friday from a Vermont jail to the Sullivan County House of Corrections in New Hampshire. Robarge had been held in Vermont since his arrest.
