Schwartz, Behan run personal bests

RINDGE, N.H. >> Alex Schwartz (18:52) and Garrett Behan (19:05) ran personal bests and placed fifth and sixth respectively when the Hinsdale cross-country teams took on Conant and Fall Mountain at Franklin Pierce University.

Conant won the boys and girls team events. Maggie St. John finished third and Rachael Girroir wound up eighth to lead Hinsdale in the girls race.

The Pacers will compete in the Cougar Classic at the Derryfield School on Wednesday.

Girls Soccer

WESTMINSTER >> Skylar White and Paige Karl each tallied twice to lead Green Mountain to an 8-0 victory over Bellows Falls.

"Terrier pride stopped the bleeding in the second half, where Green Mountain were held to seven shots," said BF coach John Broadley, whose team trailed 8-0 at the break. "This was the best 40-minute half of the season for Bellows Falls."

Keri Ticino and Zoe Schemm worked hard up front for the 0-10 Terriers, who will play at Leland & Gray on Saturday at 1 p.m.
