Series features music, holiday bulbs and magic

BRATTLEBORO — All Brown Bag Lunch Series events take place from noon to 1 p.m. at the Robert H Gibson River Garden, 157 Main St., and are free and open to the public.

On Monday, Nov. 13 , Brattleboro resident Katharine Breunig will play a variety of pieces on the piano.

On Tuesday, discuss stocks with Josh Roberts from Edward Jones.

On Wednesday, join the Democracy Forum to discuss the state of democracy in Brattleboro . Advancing common sense and fairness in town government —making global issues local. Current agenda — lowering the voting age for local issues; conscious community policing; and reversing the centralization of power on the Select Board. Presented by Kurt Daims with Brattleboro Common Sense.

On Thursday, learn to force holiday bulbs including tulips, narcissus, amaryllis, and hyacinths with Master Gardener Cheryl Wilfong. Flowering bulbs are a perfect way to brighten up the holidays, and also make great gifts.

On Friday, Jonas Cain presents Teamwork Magic . Jonas Cain is a positivity expert, author, and comedy magician with a passion for motivating groups and individuals to overcome adversity and achieve their goals. For over the past 20 years he has provided engaging presentations for corporations, non-profits, and colleges and universities that entertain, educate, inspire, and motivate.
