Sermon at Marlboro Meeting House on Sunday is ‘A Deserted Place’

Posted

MARLBORO -- The Marlboro Meeting House service will begin at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 3. The Sacrament of Communion will be observed.

Pastor Amanda C. Swoyer’s sermon title is "A Deserted Place." Sometimes you want to be alone and sometimes it is kind of scary to be alone. Are we ever really alone?

The scripture readings are from Genesis 32:3-31 and Matthew 14:13-2. Fred Gray is back to serve as organist for a few weeks.

Refreshments and fellowship will follow the service. A stair chair is available for a lift to and from the sanctuary.

Marlboro Meeting House is located one half mile from Route 9 on South Road, about eight miles between Brattleboro and Wilmington.
