Sermon at Trinity Lutheran Church on Sunday will reflect on John 14

BRATTLEBORO -- On Sunday, May 25, the sixth Sunday of Easter, Pastor Peggy Yingst’s sermon at Trinity Lutheran Church will reflect on John 14, the gospel reading assigned for the day. Although Jesus has ascended to heaven, he does not leave his followers alone. Through the Holy Spirit, Jesus comes to abide with his disciples of every generation. As Pentecost draws near, we are reminded that the risen Christ dwells in us as the Spirit of truth. We pray that this Spirit will transform us to be the body of the risen Christ in the world.

Sunday School for all ages and an Adult Forum on the formation of the Bible both gather at 9 a.m. Trinity meets for worship at 10:30 a.m. The liturgy for the Easter season is "Now the Feast" by Marty Haugen.

The church is located at 161 Western Ave., Brattleboro, across from Holton Home. Trinity is an Open and Affirming congregation.
