Shaheen thanking N.H. police who responded to Boston
MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - Sen. Jeanne Shaheen is thanking New Hampshire law-enforcement officials who responded to the Boston Marathon bombings a year ago.
Shaheen is meeting with authorities at the Manchester Police Department on Tuesday at 1:45 p.m. to thank them for their response to the tragedy, which killed three people and injured more than 250 on April 15, 2013.
Among those who assisted in Massachusetts were the New Hampshire State Police Special Weapons and Tactics Unit and the Explosives Ordinance Disposal Unit; and the Nashua Police Department.
