Shepard 2nd in Mini Stocks

WINCHESTER, N.H. -- Scott MacMichael (Sportsman Mods), Tom Carey III (Super Stocks), Mike Stebbins (Mini Stocks), Marshall Usher (Thunder Stocks), Tim O’Shea (Lightning Stocks) and Cole Littlewood (Young Guns) were the race winners on Saturday at Monadnock Speedway.

Area drivers Dana Shepard of Putney, Alyssa Rivera of Bellows Falls and Pat Houle of Vernon all finished in the top five. Shepard wound up second in the Mini Stocks heat, Rivera took fifth in the Super Stocks division, and Houle placed fifth in Lightning Stocks.

The Open Track Party/Heroes of Yesteryear event is scheduled for Saturday night at Monadnock Speedway. Sportsman Modifieds, Super Stocks, Mini Stocks, Lightning Stocks, Thunder Stocks, Young Guns, and Vintage Outlaws are all on the card. Racing will begin at 5 p.m. The entry fees are: $15 for adults, $10 for seniors, $5 for ages 13-18, and free for ages 12 and under.
