Skatepark site selection committee to review one more site
BRATTLEBORO -- The Skatepark Site Selection Committee held off on choosing its recommendation until members could review one more site that was suggested.
Committee members will visit the top of the hill at Living Memorial Park. They had already reviewed the area below.
"I think you can go up there as individuals and rank it and come back next week," said Recreation and Parks Director Carol Lolatte, who told the committee that it should keep with its philosophy of leaving no stone unturned.
A deadline for June 1 was established for presenting the Selectboard with recommendations for the location of a new 6,500-square-foot skatepark. The committee will give its recommendation to the Recreation and Parks Board on May 12.
In wanting to stick with the timeline, the committee decided that May 7 will be its last meeting, which will be held at the Gibson Aiken Senior Center at 6:15 p.m.
