Soccer challenge is Saturday
The local competition will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Kurn Hattin School's soccer field. Registration time is 10 a.m., with the competition to follow. It will take place rain or shine. Medals are to be awarded in each age group. Children must participate in a local challenge in order to qualify for the district and state challenges to be held later in September or October. The dates and locations of theses competitions will be announced at the local challenge.
The K of C Soccer Challenge is sponsored annually, with winners progressing through local, district, and state competitions. International champions are announced by the K of C international headquarters based in New Haven, Conn. on scores from state-level competitions. Last year, there was an international winner from this area's local challenge. All contestants at the local level are recognized for their participation in the event.
Parents are required to furnish proof of age and written parental consent. For additional information, contact John Pelletier at 802-875-3635.
