Southern Vermont holiday bazaars and craft fairs
Whitingham: The Whitingham Ladies Benefit Society will be holding its Annual Holiday Craft Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Jacksonville Municipal Center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be handmade crafts, a Chinese raffle, food table, and a luncheon. Windham: The annual Harvest Supper & Square Dance to benefit the Windham Community Organization will be held on Saturday, Nov. 7 at 5 p.m. at the Windham Meeting House, 26 Harrington Road on the corner with Windham Hill Road. The traditional supper of ham, butternut squash, baked beans, scalloped potatoes (also gluten-free version), sweet breads, rolls, and assorted homemade pies will be served. Square dancing for the entire family, called by Sally Newton, will begin after supper. All for $10 for adults, $5 children under 12, or $25 per family. Donations for the band will be accepted and attendees can cast ballots for Windham Library's Photo Contest "Capturing the Beauty of Windham." All are welcome.
Brattleboro: The Women of the First United Methodist Church will hold its annual Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 21, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Featured will be homemade crafts, tree ornaments, "Grandma's Attic," food table with fresh homemade donuts from our kitchen, applesauce, relish, frozen apple pies, and many other Christmas items. Coffee, tea and doughnuts will be available. Proceeds from the bazaar are donated to both local and church missions. The church is located at 18 Town Crier Drive, off Putney Road, across from Cota & Cota and is handicap accessible. There is ample parking. Westmoreland, N.H.: The Ladies Aid Society hosts is holiday bazaar on Nov. 21, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., including a 10 a.m. visit from Santa in the Town Hall on South Village Road. In Fellowship Hall there will be handicrafts, quilt raffle, greens, baked goods, cookie walk, gift baskets, elegant oddments/white elephants and fun for all ages. Both buildings re handicapped accessible. The bazaar benefits the Ladies Aid Society's missions projects. For more information, call 603-399-4975.
West Brattleboro: The 58th annual holiday bazaar will be held at First Congregational Church at 880 Western Avenue, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., on Nov. 28. The bazaar will feature hand crafted items, including table accessories, children's projects, gloves, mittens, hats. Also homemade fudge, jams, and baked goods, balsam wreaths, holiday ornaments, partridge berry bowls will be available. This year's raffle features a rustic settee, locally made Vermont maple syrup, and gift cards good for local businesses. West Bee Nursery School will also have hand-made soap and lotion.
