Stone Church Center presents 'Architecture and Illusion'

Posted
BELLOWS FALLS — Stone Church Center is offering a variety of art classes this fall including drawing classes with Jean Cannon, Saturdays, Sept. 9 and 30 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Her first class, "Architecture and Illusion," will be a study of one and two-point perspective.

Perspective can help a lot to make your drawings of urban or rural buildings look 3-dimensional. This class includes linear perspective instruction plus practice drawing buildings around town from observation, weather permitting. If the weather does not cooperate, work will be on interiors. It is not necessary to take the first class to benefit from the second.

Instructor Jean Cannon is a noted painter and new resident of Bellows Falls. Cannon has taught art to all ages in the public schools, at Community College of Vermont, Burlington City Arts, the Shelburne Craft School and the Fleming Museum. To get an idea of her work, visit jeancannon.com.

Tuition for this class is $55. Save $10 if you sign up at least one week in advance. For more information or to register go to stonechurcharts.org, call 802-460-0110, or visit Village Square Booksellers in Bellows Falls.
