Guilford student receives degree from Alfred University
ALFRED, N.Y. >> Erin M. Gendreau, a resident of Guilford, received a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from the Inamori School of Engineering at Alfred University during commencement exercises May 14 at McLane Center on the AU campus. Gendreau is the daughter of Peter and Debra Gendreau of Guilford, and is a graduate of Brattleboro Union High School.

Local woman graduates from medical school
SYRACUSE, N.Y. >> Alison Spring-Rowell Stringham, of Newfane, graduated from SUNY Upstate Medical School on May 22. She is the recipient of the Medical Society of New York Community Service Award. Stringham is the daughter of Robert and Susan Rowell of Newfane. A graduate of The Putney School and Elmira College, she will be a Family Medicine Resident at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse, N.Y.
