Students Supporting Veterans visit VA Clinic

Submitted photos

A group of students from Brattleboro Union High School, "Students Supporting Veterans" (SSV), visited the Brattleboro VA Clinic for a tour on Feb. 28. The students were invited after staff at the clinic heard about the students raising money to help homeless veterans. About 15 students with their advisor attended. One of the highlights of the visit was a "Telehealth Tour" of that program, outlining all the new services now available to veterans via the computer/television screen. This allows patients to receive the care they once had to drive all the way to White River Junction to receive. Now they can get diabetic foot exams, wound consults, pre-operative evaluations, physical and occupational therapy, nutritional counseling, and more at the Brattleboro VA Outpatient Clinic at 71 GSP Drive.
