Summer Reading kick off party at Putney Public Library
While the Olympic Games may be happening in Rio this summer, Putney Public Library is having big games of its own with the 2016 Youth Summer Reading Program! On Wednesday, June 29 at 11 a.m, we will kick off our month-long program with a family concert by Stephen Coronella. This year's theme is On Your Mark, Get Set, Read!, and Stephen will perform his sports-themed program titled Racing With the Wind.
Children may also sign up for the reading tracking portion of Summer Reading, a self-paced, non-competitive reading program that includes tracking how many books you've read (or had read to you) over the summer. They may enter a raffle ticket into the weekly drawing each time they come to the library. Wednesdays and Fridays through July will feature special activities including paper airplane Olympics, field day games, and visits from an acrobat, a martial arts master, Putney Moves yoga studio and more! Visit putneylibrary.org.
The library is located at 55 Main St.
