Sunday’s theme at All Souls Church will be ’Salvation: What Is It and What Does It Mean?’
WEST BRATTLEBORO -- All Souls Church Unitarian Universalist invites all to worship on Sunday, April 7, at 10 a.m. The theme of Sunday’s service will be "Salvation: What Is It and What Does It Mean?"
For a vast number of Westerners, salvation means to be saved by God’s grace to an afterlife in the heavenly realm. This Sunday, the Rev. Barbro Hansson will explore the concept of "salvation" through a theology based on the idea of Universal Salvation. First Sunday Offering will benefit the Minister’s Discretionary Fund.
Following the service, the Small Group Ministry will gather from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the parlor for a session of deep listening and personal sharing on the theme of Salvation.
The All Souls Adult Choir, under the direction of Ede Thomas, will sing "Look at the World" by John Rutter.
This Sunday the children and youth will go directly to classes where they will hear about Michael Covington and the Georgia Street Community Garden, an urban gardening and community center in Covington’s home neighborhood in Detroit. They will explore the earth power of growth by decorating pots and planting herbs and they will learn about the impact that producing, transporting, and selling food has on our environment and communities.
Nursery care will be provided. Contact Llora Kressmann, acting director of Religious Education, for more information at firstname.lastname@example.org
