Suspect in Sheffield woman's death accused of contacting witnesses

ST. JOHNSBURY >> A man charged in connection with the 2010 killing of a 78-year-old woman has been accused of contacting witnesses in the case.

Keith Baird, along with two co-defendants, is charged with burglary and kidnapping in the killing of Pat O'Hagan. He has pleaded not guilty.

O'Hagan was shot in the back of her head in September 2010 during a nighttime home invasion in Sheffield, according to police.

Baird remains jailed under orders to not have contact with multiple people connected to the case. Police say Baird called two witnesses from the state prison.

He's facing 31 counts of violating court conditions.
