Terriers host Otters today


BRATTLEBORO >> After going 13-4 and losing in the second round of the state tournament, the Bellows Falls varsity softball team will begin the 2016 season with a home game against Otter Valley today at 11 a.m.

"We should be strong on the mound and at the plate again this year. Our defense will be a work in progress. We will be moving people around, trying to find the right mix. It should be a fun season," said head coach Pete Fry, who is entering his 10th season in charge.

The Terriers return five starters, including hurler Murphy Hicks. Senior captain Emily Stoddard will play first base, Aly Bashaw will catch and play outfield, Brooke James will has been penciled into the outfield, and Paxton Santorelli will be the team's shortstop.

The Bellows Falls roster is listed below:
