Terriers to rely on defensive pressure

Posted
BRATTLEBORO — After racking up 27 touchdowns during the fall, Shane Clark will be counted on to score at the same rate on the court.

The senior is one of three returnees for the Bellows Falls varsity boys basketball team, which went 11-9 last season. The team captain, who is a 6-1 forward, made the Marble Valley League First Team as a junior.

"We are a young, but talented, group of men looking to always improve overall every year. We're not a large squad, but not very small either. We have lots of quick players," said Bellows Falls head coach Ryan Stoodley. "We're looking to pressure teams and make them turn the ball over. The future is bright for the Terriers."

Sophomore forward Ryan Kelly and junior guard Joe Terry are the other returnees for BF.

"Dylan Clark, McGregor Vancor, Cooper Stafford, Sam Mellish, Griffin Waryas, Jack Brown, and Tim Salter-Roy are all big parts of the team this winter," said Stoodley of his newcomers.
