Tetreault is Camper of the Week

BRATTLEBORO >> The Brattleboro Area Baseball Camp concluded its 25th season Friday with the Little League Age group.The eight-day session included individual skills competition on the final day.

Alex Palomba defended his ground ball fielding championship and was the first to do so in over 20 years. Next in the fly ball fielding contest, Dan Tetreault snagged the title. Turner Clews won the bunting contest. In the line drive hitting contest, Jack Pattison took first. Tetreault was awarded the Camper of the Week Award for his efforts, passion, maturity, willingness to get better, and energy he brought daily.

The camp is run in cooperation with the Brattleboro Recreation and Parks Department and g.housen by Alan Libardoni.

Firecracker 4-Miler

BRATTLEBORO >> The annual Bill Powers Memorial Firecracker 4-Miler road race, which begins at Living Memorial Park and ends at the Brattleboro Town Common, will start at 9:30 this morning.

Each mile is marked. There is one water station at Mile 2. Water and light refreshments are provided at the finish. There will be prizes for the male and female winners of each age group.

The entry fee is $15 per runner. You can sign up between 8-9:15 a.m. at Living Memorial Park.
