The 2014 Guilford Fair on Labor Day Weekend features three days of live music.
GUILFORD - On Sat., Aug. 30 the Tommy Fuentes band from Montague, Mass. plays from 1 to 3 p.m. They play rock and roll With Kip Dresser on lead guitar, Ted Jablonski on drums, Ed Lutat on bass, and Kevin McCarthy and Tom Murphy on rhythm guitars and vocals.
On Sun. Aug 31 The Brattlyn Brothers start the day at 10 a.m. with an up tempo set of classic rock and roll music, featuring Joe Santry and Kevin Parry on guitars, Ken Storey on bass, Rich Mayer on drums, Scott Sizer on trumpet and Jim Kurty on saxophone. Funky horn lines, bluesy guitar riffs and three part harmonies
At noon local teen favorites The Snaz play their original high spirited music, with Nina Singleton-Spencer on bass, Dharma Ramirez on guitar, Mavis Eaton on keyboards and Zack James on drums.
From 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. it's the Western swing, vintage country, roots rock and honky tonk sound of Ten Gallon Swing, featuring the steel guitar of Rich Sullivan with George Adair on bass, Ron Banks on guitar and Richard Mayer on drums.
Winding up the day from 4 to 5 p.m. is Small Change, an acoustic swing band playing blues, jazz, folk and ballads with Dennis Avery on steel guitar, Chris Morano on bass, Al Canali on guitar and Karen Hogness on mandolin.
On Mon. Sept. 1 at 10 a.m. its traditional bluegrass picking and soaring harmonies with Seven Mile Line, featuring Joe Carbone on fiddle, Versa Clark on bass, Matt Gravel on mandolin, Doug Patton on banjo and Greg Walko on guitar
From 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Three Way Street plays a mix of swing, bluegrass, old time and Cajun music with Lisa Brande on fiddle, Mark Trichka on mandolin and Kevin Parry on guitar. They will be joined by special guests Rich Mayer on drums and George Adair on bass for a "Five Way Street" set.
At 1:30 p.m. Classic Country plays the music of Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, George Jones, Johnny Cash and more. Rich Mayer is on drums, George Adair on bass and Kevin Parry on Fender Telecaster guitar. They will be joined by special guests Lisa Brande on fiddle and Mark Trichka on mandolin.
Electric Fence closes out the Guilford Fair from 3:30 to 5 p.m. with their blend of rock, country and blues, featuring Steve Carmichael and Howard Weiss-Tisman on guitars and Jonny Sheehan on bass.
