Timothy Jones named Elks Student of the Month at BFUHS


WESTMINSTER -- Timothy Jones has been named the April Elks Student of the Month for Bellows Falls Union High School. Tim, a senior, is the son of Peter and Donna Jones of Rockingham.

Tim is a dedicated, independent learner who works hard, goes above and beyond to put in a strong effort and turns in polished, completed work in a timely fashion. Always determined to improve his skills, Tim seeks assistance and advocates for himself. He is an active learner who comes to school every day with a desire to learn and share his experiences with others.

Tim has a positive attitude, and he meets challenges head on. He is a polite, friendly role model for others who has worked hard to establish respectful relationships with both his peers and the adults in the community. Tim gives freely of his time to help others, is involved in many activities both in school and out, and he takes his various responsibilities seriously. Always willing to help others, he comes to events, and classes prepared, on-time and ready to work.

Tim is actively and dedicatedly involved in the BFUHS sports program, the music program and Student Council. He has represented BFUHS on the cross country, track and basketball teams, and in the band.

He is a talented saxophonist who has volunteered to play the National Anthem at basketball games over the past few years. He has represented the school and community in the Discover Jazz Festival in Burlington, and is an officer in the BFUHS Student Council.

Tim is also a member of the BFUHS Marilee Huntoon Jesse A. Judd Chapter of the National Honor Society.
