Towns have board openings

WINDHAM COUNTY -- With Town Meeting approaching, various town boards are still seeking residents to fill empty positions.

The Brookline and Newfane joint school board is currently seeking members. The board is currently involved in investigating opportunities for reorganization of the supervisory union, energy and heating solutions for Newbrook Elementary school and more. Boasting a stable budget, the lowest cost per student ratio in the union, the board is motivated by working with community support and an excelling team. For Brookline residents, there is no deadline for petitions. In Newfane, the deadline for petitions is Jan. 28. Anyone interested may also contact chairwoman Kim Friedman at 802-348-7988.


In Putney, the following positions are open: Auditor for three years; auditor for two years; cemetery commissioner for three years, two town grand jurors for one year; listers for one and three years; moderator for one year; school directors for three years and two years (two); Selectboard member for three years; and town agent for one year.
