Trinity celebrates the fourth Sunday after Pentecost

BRATTLEBORO -- On Sunday, July 6, Trinity Lutheran Church will celebrate the feast of Holy Communion at 9:30 a.m. In Sunday’s gospel from Matthew 11, we note that the mystery of God’s ways is sometimes hidden from the wise and intelligent. Jesus associates with the lowly and outcast. Like Paul, we struggle with our own selfish desires and seek God’s mercy and forgiveness. We gather to be refreshed by Christ’s invitation: "Come to me, all you that are weary." Gathered around word, water, and meal, we find rest for our souls.

At 11:30 a.m., after the service, a group of members will bring the service to those living at Holton Home. The public is invited to either service. The church is located at 161 Western Ave., Brattleboro.
